We got in touch with Hyundai India's corporate communication team regarding the rumored launch of the Hyundai Grand i10 diesel AT next month. A spokesman for the company said there were no plans to make a diesel version of the Grand i10 AT, leave alone firming up a launch date.
A few days ago, Hyundai introduced the Grand i10 petrol AT, borrowing the powertrain from the older i10, priced at 5.95 lakh rupees (ex-showroom Delhi). The Grand i10's 1.2-liter Kappa engine is matched to a 4-speed AT, and produces 85 bhp and 11.6 kgm of torque. It was launched in Asta and Sportz variants.
Hyundai's cheapest diesel AT is the Hyundai Verna which retails at 10.34 lakhs in Delhi showrooms.
