Nissan India has officially announced that the Terrano would be launched tomorrow, October 9th. Unveiled in August this year, the Nissan Terrano has been available for pre-bookings since September 1. Prospective buyers could pre-book their car by paying an advance of INR 50,000 and the variant-wise features list was also available for them to reserve their respective model.
To quickly recap things, the Terrano will be available with a 1.6-liter petrol engine outputting 104PS and a 1.5-liter diesel engine in two states of tuning - 85PS and 110PS. While the 85PS variant (and the petrol Terrano) get a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 110PS model gets a 6-speed manual transmission.

At the time of the launch, Nissan will be selling only the 2WD versions of the Terrano, though a 4WD version could be offered sometime in the future.
The Terrano sports a much more thorough change to its exteriors and interiors as compared to previous Renault-Nissan cross-badged products (such as the Micra-Pulse and the Sunny-Scala). Nissan has made certain sheet metal changes in the Terrano (such as a new body crease on the side and an all-new bootlid with split taillights), apart from changing the bumpers and the lights.
The Terrano is bound to be about INR 50,000 more expensive than the equivalent Renault Duster. However, Nissan India has assured the media (and the prospective customers who have pre-booked the car) that the starting price would be "sub-10 lakhs".
