Last week we told you that the Toyota dealerships were clearing up their stockyards to make room for the Toyota Innova facelift by early October. We had also mentioned in our story that dealers were asked to be ready to sell a new top-end 'Z' variant that would make the Innova more expensive than ever before.

The grille and bumper are comprehensively redesigned and the front end look will take time to sink in.

Courtesy of Mr. Samuel Joe of Fly-wheel.com, we can share images of the Toyota Innova facelift in the 'Z' trim from an unspecified dealer yard. Up front, the Innova bears a larger chrome grille, a densely detailed bumper and chrome-embellished foglamps. In profile, the only differentiating factor is the new body graphic on the doors. At the rear, Toyota have kept the taillights and bumper, with a wing-shaped chrome feature running over the number plate enclosure, flanked by reflector strips.

The 'Z' variant gets a new infotainment package. The infotainment package adds an LCD touchscreen and multimedia-readability from iPod, USB stick, CD and AUX. We don't have any images from the India-spec model to back these claims, but it shouldn't vary drastically from the Indonesian-spec model.

The infotainment system includes multimedia readability from several external sources such as iPod, USB and AUX. Note that this image is from the Indonesian launch held in August.

Toyota have not changed the mechanical aspect of the car. It retains the old 2.5L D-4D diesel engine that pumps out 102 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque.

IndianAutosBlog.com readers have already seen the Innova facelift from our live Indonesian launch coverage. Toyota had incremented the prices there, and on the 17th of September, TKM duly followed suit raising Innova prices by 7k-11k rupees depending on the variant. Would there be another round of revisions when the facelift is introduced? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
