The new Toyota Corolla offers good protection to both adult and child occupants.

Euro NCAP adds that the four door saloon’s safety equipment like seat belt reminders, airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts and Electronic Stability Control worked as per the test requirements. In the event of a frontal collision, the new Corolla is found to offer good protection to both the driver and the occupants irrespective of their postures and physiques.

To protect occupants from side impact, the Mid Grade variant provides curtain airbags which also functioned properly under the test. Protection against whiplash was satisfactory as well.

Irrespective of airbags, the car is a minomor for toyota’s name. Very maintenance intensive car, if any one is waiting for. My friend coughed up inr 10 k for power windows motor !..

    your Title is Misleading!!

India bound cars never get all the 6/8 airbags in the American or European versions.
This car may have achieved 5 stars in Euro NCAP. But the Indian version of the car wont have all those airbags. Don’t know what other stuff they skip.

So it may be 3 stars? at best in India.

Wow… that comparable with the likes of new Octavia, Jetta and Civic. Though i’m not getting Elentra but expecting it to be 5*.
