Early images of the facelifted Skoda Yeti emerged late last night. Skoda has now taken control of the situation by sending us all the information and images. This is what you need to know.

New Skoda Yeti Outdoor
Skoda Yeti Outdoor variant is designed for owners who love traveling off-road.

The Yeti has branched into two lineups: The Skoda Yeti Outdoor and the Skoda Yeti Style. As the names signify, the Outdoor Yeti sports a more rugged and off-road look and will cater to those who frequent driving off the road. The variant features skid plates, underride guards and side moldings in a black plastic.

The Yeti Style, with its body colored bumpers, is for those who would not be off-roading as such, yet still need a crossover for the better luggage space, higher ground clearance or better visibility it offers. Skoda has found the perfect phrase for this calling it the "Tarmac Jungle"!

Skoda Yeti Style gets body colored bumpers and plastics. The design of the foglamp is different as well.

Both versions carry Skoda's new design for the headlamp with integrated daytime running lights. At the rear, taillights can now be optionally specced with LEDs. There are four new exterior color options such as Moon-White, Jungle-Green, Metal-Grey and Magnetic-Brown. Inside, you find Skoda's new 3-spoke steering wheel which can be ordered in 7 variations, new fabrics for the seat covers and trim changes to the dashboard.

Features wise, the new Yeti gains an automatic parking assistant along with a rear-view camera and will continue to be offered with up to 9 airbags, VarioFlex seats, heated seats and cruise control.

Seat fabric and interior trim have seen changes, apart from the inclusion of a new steering wheel.

There are 7 engines to choose from - four diesel and three petrol options. The range extends from a 1.2 TSI 105bhp to a 2.0 TDI 170bhp. Depending on the engine, you can have a 6-speed manual, 6-speed DSG or 7-speed DSG.

Skoda CEO, Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland said -

With this all-new look and being offered for the first time in two variations, we are establishing new benchmarks. We plan to continue our outstanding development in this rapidly growing vehicle class.
