The Yeti is next in line to return to Skoda's design studio to align itself with the Czech brand's new design dialect. A few press photographs of the facelift have emerged online today signifying an imminent soft launch.

Headlamps and grille follow guidelines set by the VisionD design study. Foglights take a conventional position on the fascia.

The new design gives the Yeti a crisp front-end made of simple lines. Gone is large foglight and chunky front-end that struck a good compromise between family car looks and a rugged off-roader. In its place comes a sculpted fascia that wears the same look as the Octavia and Rapid.

The winged arrow emblem is pushed upward on to the bonnet and its U-Shaped lower bumper is replaced by a more straightforward mesh design, one that we've warmed up to seeing recent Skodas. Redesigned foglights take their conventional position.

A triangular indent on the hatch and the updated C-Shaped taillight graphic are noteworthy changes.

Another signature Skoda design touch is observed as you walk to the rear - the triangular impression on the bootlid that we first saw on the Rapid. The C-Shaped graphic on the taillight is updated with LED units. Other minor updates observed are body colored bumpers (instead of the black diffuser-effect lower bumper on the outgoing car) and slimmer reflector units.

The interior is the same but for a new steering wheel. Skoda is reported to have developed a self-parking program which we don't have any details on today.

The current engine range of the Yeti would be retained - displacing between 1.2-lites to 2.0-liters - paired to a combination of all-wheel drive and DSG gearbox.

We're bound to receive more details about the Skoda Yeti facelift in the days to follow now that a few images have leaked. Its very likely that this model will premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
