Nepal - Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck gets launched at 14.8 lakh Nepalese rupees

With the launch of the Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck, the Indian UV specialist has increased its presence in the commercial vehicle segment in Nepal.

The Bolero Maxi Truck is a pickup based on the highly successful Bolero platform. The LCV is primarily aimed at goods transportation within urban areas.

The pickup is powered by a 2.5 litre common rail diesel engine which complies with BS4 emission standards. The motor develops 63bhp and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Maxi Truck delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 17.7kpl and has a payload capacity of 1,150kg. The area of the loading bay stands at 40.6 sq ft.

The updated Maxi Truck (Bolero Maxi Truck Plus) was launched in India in May this year. In Nepal, the UV will be sold through Agni Inc. - the authorized distributor of Mahindra vehicles in the country.

Power steering is a first in segment feature.

The vehicle is equipped with a power steering which is a first in the segment feature for Nepal. Another noteworthy advantage of the Bolero Maxi Truck is its service interval of 10,000 km which could reduce the operational costs.

The Mahindra Bolero Maxi Truck is priced at 1.48 million Nepalese rupee (around INR 9.24 lakhs).

It is to be noted that Mahindra had launched the Quanto in Nepal last month and is also gearing up to launch the e2o electric car by October.
