Nepal - Hyundai celebrates sales of 5,000 i10s, offers freebies and discounts

Hyundai Nepal has a reason to cheer. The company is celebrating the sales of the 5,000th Hyundai i10. Laxmi Inter Continental, the official and sole distributor of Hyundai products in Nepal, has announced a host of freebies and discounts as a result.

Customers who have purchased the i10 before 01 August, 2013 are eligible for a lucky draw. Hyundai says that 5 lucky owners get to win a trip to Bangkok and Pattaya. They are also offering 100 owners with service coupons worth NPR 5,000 (INR 3,140).

Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, the company's Assistant General Manager - Sales and Marketing, said -

This is our tribute to each one of the 5,000 plus i10 users who made this achievement possible. This milestone was only possible due to our customers' faith on and support to Hyundai i10 and we are very much thankful to each of them.

i10 in Nepal is available with 1.1 and 1.2-liter engines, manual and automatic gearbox options, just like India.

Laxmi has been selling Hyundai vehicles in Nepal since February 2009. The Hyundai range in Nepal includes the Eon, Santro, i10, i20, Accent (the second generation version which started calling itself as Verna), the fluidic Verna, Elantra, Veloster, Sonata, Tucson and the Santa Fe.

The i10 in Nepal is sold with the same two engine configurations, the 1.1-liter iRDE2 and the 1.2-liter Kappa2 which is available with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The i10 for Nepal is exported from the Hyundai plant in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.
