The Bajaj Discover 125 T is the newest member of the successful Discover family that was launched earlier in the week. The 125cc motorcycle gets toned down design and specifications and to have a cheaper price tag and better fuel economy than the 125 ST.

The biggest visual difference between the 125 ST and the 125 T lies in the rear suspension. While the more premium 125 ST boasts monoshock unit, the 125 T is content with traditional gas filled twin shock absorbers. Another difference is the centre panel which has a silver finish in 125 ST and black finish in the 125 T.

The only significant visual difference between the Discover 125 T and the 125 ST is that the former adopts conventional twin shocks at rear while the latter employs a monoshock unit.

The 125 T employs the same 125cc 4-valve DTS-i engine but the power output has been mellowed down to 12.5PS which is 0.5PS less than the 125 ST. However, the torque output, 5-speed transmission and the claimed top speed remain unchanged. With the detuned engine, Bajaj looks to lure the customers who prioritize fuel economy.

The Discover 125 T is available in two variants whereas only one version of the 125 ST is on offer. The base variant of the 125 T comes with drum brakes for both the wheels and is priced at Rs. 52,500 and the disc brake variant costs Rs. 55,500 (Both prices being ex-showroom Delhi).

In comparison, the 125 ST is priced at Rs. 56,026 (ex-showroom Delhi). The 125 ST seems to be a better value for money compared to the disc brake variant of the 125 T.

While the Bajaj Discover 125 T competes with the likes of Hero Super Splendor and Honda Shine, the mono shock equipped 125 ST has the Hero Igniter and the Honda Stunner to take care of.
