Audi RS5 Coupe facelift launched in India at 95.28 lakhs

Audi India today launched the RS5 Coupe facelift at 95.28 lakhs (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). The updated model is distinguished by new Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. The retractable rear spoiler is speed activated.

Central to the new Audi RS5 Coupe is the package under the bonnet. The car is powered by a 4,163cc V8 engine that belts out peak power and torque of 450hp @ 8,250 RPM and 430Nm between 4k-6k RPM respectively. With such volcanic outputs, the car catapults to 100kph from a standstill in 4.5 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 250kph. The engine is driven by a 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch transmission. Quattro with self-locking crown gear center differential and torque vectoring constitute the rest of the drivetrain.

Moving to the interiors, the new RS5 Coupe gets Matt brushed Aluminium inlays, power-adjustable sport seats, specially designed instrument console featuring a lap timer and oil pressure gauge, while the Bang & Olufsen stereo and climate-controlled comfort seats are optional extras. There's a long list of safety features but the ones highlighted in the press release are front and side airbags, and the Audi Parking System Plus.

The RS5 Coupe's chassis is reinforced with technologies like Audi drive select driving dynamics system, optional dynamic steering system, high-performance brakes, ESP with a switch to disable the 'Sport' mode, and Dynamic Ride Control variable damping offered as yet another option.
