Our friends at Team BHP had carried an image of a completely camouflaged Tata Vista last month. This sparked speculations of a majorly reskinned version launching next year as the 2014 Tata Vista facelift.

Today Team BHP returns with more images, revealing the side and rear of the car. As the car is still a secret, it wears full camouflage.

Team BHP is reporting that design cues observed on the Tata Manza Hybrid concept presented at the Delhi Auto Expo last year would be the new ingredients of the Vista facelift.

The 2014 Tata Vista will ditch its X-Mas tree taillights for a new unit.

Another revelation made by them is that the rear taillight ditches its X'mas tree arrangement. The test mule has decoy taillights suggesting that the a design could be incorporated. Interestingly, the license plate moves up the hatch door and the rear bumpers are new.

We expect the powertain lineup to be carried forward albeit with some improvements. The current Vista is offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2 litre Safire petrol puts out 65PS while the popular 1.3 litre MultiJet diesel engine is available in two states of tune - 75PS and 90PS. There is also an entry level homegrown 1.4 litre BS3 diesel engine which produces 71PS which could be replaced by the CR4 diesel engine.

The 2014 Vista will be a part of Tata Motors HorizonNext strategy which involves the launch of product refreshes in regular intervals.
