The Tata Aria has been an utter sales disappointment right from the very beginning.

Only three examples of the flagship Tata MPV had left the showrooms last month while the fellow contenders in its price range are managing good numbers. Tata has brought down the entry level price tag more than once and that didn't bear the expected results.

The last trick in the bag is to give the premium MPV a minor facelift and approach the market with a different strategy. Earlier, we have presented you the spyshots of the slightly revised Aria testing. We also brought you the live coverage of the 2013 Aria which was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Here is another spyshot of the facelifted car's front which is a courtesy of PowerDrift's Facebook page. The front of the car hasn't changed much except for the smoked headlamp units and the turn indicators now feature clear lenses. The taillights also feature clear lens indicators. In addition, the taillights get a thin chrome bordering on the outside. The details of the interior changes are unclear as of now.

The facelifted car will be powered by the same 2.2 litre diesel engine but the power output is expected to be increased to 158bhp from the current 140bhp. The car that was showcased at the Geneva Motor Show came with a 6-speed automatic transmission suggesting that it will be offered in the Aria facelift along with the current car's 5-speed manual gearbox.

Considering the Aria's single digit monthly sales, we expect Tata Motors to launch the facelifted Aria anytime soon.
