The Verito Vibe is a chopped version of the Verito/Logan. It has been developed specifically to take advantage of the sub 4 meter small car norms existing here. By ducking under the 4 meter length, the Verito Vibe classifies itself for a 12% duty as compared to the 30% duty existing for cars over 4 meters in length.

The Verito Vibe has been launched only with a 1.5-liter K9K diesel engine (as seen on the Verito sedan). Mahindra would need a petrol engine smaller than 1.2-liters in displacement to classify for the small car norms and this is something they don't have at the moment. As a result, the Verito Vibe will be a diesel only model. It will come with the same 5-speed manual transmission.

This engine produces 65bhp of power and 160Nm of torque. It has an ARAI certified 20.8km/l. The Vibe measures 3,991mm in length, 1,740mm in width and 1,540mm in height. It has a 2,630mm wheelbase and a boot with 330 liters of space. The ground clearance is 172mm.

Three variants are available - D2, D4 and D6. All variants get AC and Power Steering as standard. The top-end D6 features electrically adjustable ORVMs, front and rear power windows, 2-DIN music system with MP3, Aux and USB and remote central locking. The design of the center fascia is different in all three cars with the base D2 getting a moulded fascia while the D6 getting a 'Cubic Printed' fascia.

The D6 variant also features alloy wheels, front fog lamps, ABS with EBD, driver airbag and a computerized driver information system.

Exterior wise all variants get roof rails and LED taillights as standard.

We had earlier revealed how the bootlid of the Vibe operates, which is a bit peculiar. However, stay tuned for some high quality images of the boot and the bootlid which are coming your way.

The Vibe has been launched in 7 different colors. It comes with a 3 year/100,000km warranty.
