The 5 year warranty scheme that was announced in April is largely responsible for Hero Motocorp's record setting performance.

While Hero is dormant this year, Honda has launched a new 110cc commuter, the Dream Neo, apart from updating its range of scooters. The Japanese auto marque is catching up with Hero with a slow and steady approach. Bajaj Auto, another important rival, is threatening with an elaborate lineup of Discover and Pulsar motorcycles which are waiting to be launched.

Notwithstanding the competition, Hero Motocorp registered a record monthly dispatch of vehicles in May. The month saw a colossal 557,890 units dispatched to the dealerships, which is the highest ever figure in the company's history.

The motorcycles flew off the showrooms almost as fast as they arrived! Hero sold 1.1 million units in the months of April and May which is the highest two months sales for the company, festive seasons included!

The impressive sales performance in spite of the lack of a new product is largely attributed to the new 5 year warranty scheme that was announced in April. The company also commenced the exports of its two wheelers to Central American nations Guatemala, El Salvado and Honduras.

Hero is reportedly gearing up to launch two motorcycles and a scooter this year which are sure to help the sales proceedings even further.
