Spied - The all new 2014 BMW X5 spotted onboard a cargo aircraft

Spy images of the all new 2014 BMW X5 have become quite common these days. We bring you images and videos of the car regularly, not to mention the brochure leak of the scale model car.

However, these images take the words 'spy shots' to an all new level. The two 2014 BMW X5's you see here are sitting inside a cargo aircraft, being transported somewhere.

BMW has codenamed the new X5 as F15. It is expected that the F15 X5 will be lighter than the outgoing model and as a result it should be quicker and more fuel economical. A modified chassis from the current F10 BMW 5 Series is expected to underpin the new X5.

BMW will make use of a new design for the headlights, while the kidney grill is expected to grow bigger. The rear promises some changes to the taillights and the tail gate.

Inside the cabin, there are a lot of design tweaks to the new X5. The entire dashboard is more upright when compared to the outgoing car.

The LCD display for the navigation and the infotainment system has now grown in size. The iDrive controller has also been updated like that of the 2014 BMW 5 Series. It now features a touch sensitive pad through which the driver can enter an alphabet to quickly gain access into the phonebook or a particular control or function.

BMW is also expected to add a new base variant with a four cylinder diesel engine. The 2014 X5 range is one of the the big launches for BMW worldwide and we should see it in time for the Frankfurt Motor Show.
