The Vios which is basically the sedan version of the Yaris now gets more individuality. Modern exterior combined with equally modern and well designed interior makes the car all the more appealing.

2014 Toyota ViosThe Vios made its debut at the ongoing Bangkok Motor Show and here are the official presentation videos from Toyota. The first video narrates the story right from the car’s clay modelling stage to final production, taking us through various facets of development.

The Vios is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine which makes 109 PS and 141 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed autobox are the transmission options.

The Toyota Vios will be manufactured in Thailand and will be exported to around 80 countries especially to the growing auto markets. The market position is between the Etios and the Corolla and the car would target countries like Brazil, China, Thailand, etc.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor wants to concentrate on improving the prospects of the Etios twins and hence the Vios may not have India on its radar.
