The 7 Series LCI (Life Cycle Impulse is the name given to facelifts by BMW) is the second product to be launched/unveiled this year by BMW India, the first one being refreshed BMW X1. The Munich stalwart also has the big launch later this year in the form of the 1 Series.

BMW was the mobility partner of the Jodhpur One World Retreat and the unveiling ceremony happened in the presence of His Highness Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur, Sachin Tendulkar, the brand ambassador of BMW, actress Dia Mirza, socialite Suhel Seth, industrialist Pawan Munjal and many others in a star-studded night.

The BMW 7 Series facelift sports all-LED headlamps, redesigned kidney grille, new front bumper, and ORVMs with integrated indicators. The rear gets a chrome strip near the tail lamps. The car sits 8 mm lower than the outgoing car. It was revealed globally in mid-2013 and has been launched in most global markets.

On the inside, the LCI features new hardware for the iDrive system, redesigned leather seats and individual 9.2" screens for rear passengers. BMW hasn't spoken about the engine option yet, but we reckon the 730d diesel variant is the star candidate in question, with respect to the Indian market.

It is learnt that the BMW has already started assembling the 7 Series LCI at its Chennai facility. The luxury limousine should be occupying the showroom floors anytime now.
