The Skoda Octavia has been the most successful model in the company’s history with more than 4 million units sold. The third generation Skoda Octavia has just been launched and it is touted to be one of the top 10 best selling cars globally. There will be more variants such as the Combi (estate) and vRS (sporty) following the Octavia sedan this year.

The new Octavia which has grown in dimensions and equipment should be launched in India later this year. The powertrain options for the Indian market could include 1.8 litre TSI turbo petrol and 2.0 litre TDI diesel engines.

Skoda is currently in the process of updating its existing models to their new design identity apart from working on all-new products, both of which could bring in more volumes to the brand.
