As the heat of Geneva gets closer, Rolls Royce is getting ready to unveil their sportiest model ever.

Rolls Royce Wraith Teaser

The British automaker has released one final teaser of the Rolls Royce Wraith confirming that it will be a Sportback design. Essentially, a Sportback is a more practical version of the coupe body style. This will be the first sportback in Rolls Royce’s history.

By confirming that the Rolls Royce Wraith is a Sportback, RR hints at the sporty performance credentials of the Wraith. In previous teasers, Rolls Royce showcased the Wraith’s dual exhaust which is also a sign of a beefy, performance-oriented car.

We know that the Wraith will be based on the Ghost (BMW 7 Series) platform, sporting suicide doors and a massive 6.6-liter, twin-turbo V12 under the bonnet. The chassis will be lightened and stiffened to handle the fury of the most powerful Rolls Royce engine ever made.

Thanks to a curb weight of just 2,300 kg, the Wraith will be able to sprint to a 100 kmph in just 4.7 seconds or as Rolls Royce terms it provide ‘more than adequate performance’. Considering the some part of the Wraith's development was on the Nurburgring race track, it should not frown at the sight of corners.

Rolls Royce has confirmed that the Wraith will be launched in India as early as July of 2013. The British will hold a private screening for a select group of HNIs who are planning to expand their collection.
