It is now the Skoda Superb's turn to get the new family face and here is an image showing what could be the Superb facelift.

The most noticeable change is the new front grill that brings the Skoda Superb closer to the European Rapid and the newly launched 2013 Skoda Octavia. The new black and chrome logo sits on the bonnet and forms the originating point for the characteristic central ridge that runs all the way to the windshield.

Media reports suggest that the Superb facelift would sport LED daytime running lights. The front bumper features new fog lamps and the air dam gets new mesh detailing. We have already brought you these changes through spy shots of the car's bumper.

Coming to the rear, the license plate is expected to be promoted from the bumper to the boot lid. On the inside, the instrument cluster could be new but don't expect dramatic changes.

While powertrain options are expected to continue with some minor tweaks, Auto.cz reports that for European countries a new variant which offers the 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine with 4x4 system and DSG gearbox will be offered. The current Superb offers 4x4 system with the 2.0 litre TDI but it is available only with manual transmission.

The facelifted Skoda Superb is expected to be unveiled soon.
