Mercedes has to be given credit for creating niche segments in the luxury segment.
When the German manufacturer came up with the CLS Class which is arguably the world's first four door coupe, critics expressed doubts but the the CLS made the rival manufacturers to run towards the drawing board to do something similar. Mercedes didn't rest on its laurels and brought out the CLS Shooting Brake, the most stylish station wagon by far.
Having brought a similar eye catching design to the table in the form of the new CLA Class, we couldn't help but wonder whether the company will launch a Shooting Brake version of the car as well. Popular rendering specialist Theophilus Chin has come up with this rendering of the CLA Shooting Brake.
Just like its big sister, the CLA Shooting Brake takes the aesthetics of an estate car to a whole new league. The roof line is tight fitting and retains the character of the CLA sedan. The window line extends almost all the way to the tail lamps and terminates in a complementing triangular fashion.
The question is, will Mercedes do a Shooting brake version of the CLA Class? Well, Europe is an estate loving continent and we think Mercedes should go ahead. That brings us to another question. Will you consider the CLA Shooting Brake if at all Mercedes plans to build it?
