The identity of the Mira seen here in patent scan leaks is yet to be accurately established. Initial reports suggest that this is the eighth generation Mira, ready to replace the 7 year old model, while there is a shadow of doubt that it could be a reskinned seventh generation model that will extend the life of the seventh generation by a few years.

Compared to the seventh generation model, the new Mira model has a completely different front fascia, slightly different A-Pillar, redesigned rear door and a different rear fascia.

The Mira is a Japanese kei car that is fitted with a 658cc engine capable of producing 58PS and 65Nm, paired to a CVT. Its minimum turning radius is 4.2m.

The new model’s dimensions are reported to be same as the current car which is 3395mm × 1475mm × 1500mm (L*W*H), with a wheelbase of 2,455mm. We’ll keep an eye on the new Daihatsu Mira, so until then stay with

i am quite skeptical of anything that comes out from china. but if this is the new gen mira, then it is indeed taking the design of toyota agya introduced to the indonesian public during IIMS sept last year. the dimension would be reduced to Kei car spec above from 3575 x 1600 x 1530 with wheelbase of 2730mm.
