If you ask Ford India, they will tell you that it will taste delicious!

The Ford Figo, a re-skinned fifth generation Ford Fiesta, was a big success not just in India but in some international markets. The American automaker managed to ship almost 2.5 lakh units of this reborn Fiesta hatchback in more than 35 markets across the globe.

The boxing day dinner was so successful that Ford India even gave the Figo a mid-life facelift to continue for atleast 3 more years.

The facelifted Figo was touted in the past to head to Algeria for its public debut at the salon d’Oran Autowest 2012. Plans have changed now and the debut is expected on the 20th of January, 2013. Markets such as South Africa and Nepal already sell the facelifted model.

Algeria gets a 1.4L petrol engine which produces 82hp @ 6,100 rpm and 120 Nm of torque @ 3,900 rpm that we do not get in India owing to our volatile petrol prices and the non-compliance of this motor with the small car benefit scheme.

The Algerian Figo also gets two front airbags, ABS, power steering, manual air conditioning, Radio/MP3 player, power windows, electrically adjustable mirrors, central locking and height adjustable seats.

It is available in white, gray, mouse gray, black, and champagne colors. Prices start at 1,179,000 Algerian Dinars (around 8.22 lakhs INR).
