The Chevrolet Sail and the Enjoy MPV have been testing in India for so long that if we sum up the total distance, it would equate to more than one trip around the world!

The Sail sedan is similar to the Sail U-VA hatchback from the nose to the B pillar after which the roof line curves down. The rear of the car though has nothing special, is well executed compared to other hatchback based sedans in its segment like the Maruti Swift Dzire or Tata Manza.

The latest spyshots of these Chinese duo were captured by our regular reader Mr. Rahul Dalvi. The test mules were spotted in Talegoan near GM India's factory. Rahul adds that one could spot a Chevy test mule at least once in an hour in different colors in the locality. The spyshots give away the location of the badges on the boot lid.

The Sail sedan will use the same 78 PS 1.3 litre XSDE diesel motor. The petrol option may well be the same 86 PS 1.2 litre petrol engine which is found under the hood of the Sail U-VA. The Sail sedan is not a sub four metre car but bringing a bigger petrol engine doesn't make sense since demand for petrol sedan is almost non existent in India now.

The Chevrolet Enjoy MPV which is another rebadged Chinese vehicle will be GM India's rival to the segment stalwarts Ertiga and Innova. The seven seater too makes use of the 1.3 litre diesel motor which is dubbed as national engine of India.

The testing of the Sail sedan and Enjoy MPV are in the final phases as the launch date is nearing. Expect the duo to be available at the stores from early next year.
