The car was spotted testing in Chengalpattu near Chennai by Mr. Jelliffe Jaganathan, a forum member of Gearheads.in. The Bright Yellow exterior color option is not available in Brazil or China and is exclusive to India.

The hue may polarize opinions, but we think it certainly looks sporty. The test mule has alloy wheels suggesting that it is a high end Titanium variant but there is no clue about what’s lurking under the yellow fellow’s hood.

Ford India has been testing the EcoSport mules (and in the process testing the prospective owners’ patience) since a few months. Ford India officials have repeatedly stated that the EcoSport will be here in the early part of 2013 but declined to be more specific.

The EcoSport is expected to be offered with one diesel engine and two petrol engine options. The 1.5 litre petrol and diesel motors from the Fiesta sedan will be joined by the tech laden 1.0 EcoBoost turbo petrol motor which won the coveted ‘International Engine of the Year 2012’ award.

Its people choice what they what to choose a Mini SUV or a Compact sub-4 meter Notchback , deciding factors includes 1)maintenance cost,2)resale value,3)fuel economy and finally 4) what the idividual feels easy to drive i.e. a mini SUV in city traffic or a compact car though both are sub 4 meter !!
Ecosport would be a bit more pricier when compared with AMAZE as its loaded with features where amaze is a budget car almost a brio’s extended version may who is more concerned about budget i.e. 7-8 lac diesel car he would choose the amaze top model when it comes to ecosport it would ask the customer to lend 2 lac more for its extra features !!

Testing is one of the important part for any automaker or any customer facing manufacturer, which would decide their life in the market just because you are eager to see them on roads they cannot sell just making a car designed out from paper patterns and sell them because friend most of us are about to spend our 10 years hard earned money for a car with no economical returns except satisfaction from heart that we own a best product !! So just keep ur envy controlled and you might be getting to see them soon into market closely by march the time when Figo was launched during 2009, they need to have sufficient inventories before they release a car there are 20+ states and 100 + dealers all over our country its completely manufactured from India’s Maraimalainagar plant they need to make on going Figo with 3 shift, Fiesta new, Classic, assemble its Endeavour etc alongside they need to keep on working on upgrading its test failures and fix them before it gets released because its now a Do or Die Situation for ford !! and if you are a potential customer there are just two option to think petrol or a diesel and petrol AT or Petrol MT simple and just have some money of around 8-10 lac , simple just calm down and Watch the match !!

Hmm..Looks good i feel…Though the pics dont give the detailed look..
Hope they price it really low…So many of us can upgrade from our Alto/Santro/i10 to the Ecosport…

Atleast the base version should be priced within 6 lakhs OTR i hope.

    1. faisal says:

This wont come below Rs. 8 lakhs OTR

      1. sri says:

its sub-4 meter so its getting the excise duty exception and also ford has already said it will be aggressively priced keeping duster in mind so duster starts at 7.19 ex show room so we can expect this 40-50 K lesser which is expected to be at 6.8 lac x showroom hence should not exceed 7.5 lac for 1.5 ltr petrol MT version and the price peak wouldnt exceed 10.5 lac for the diesel ex-showroom Titatium Trim !! hope my prediction works out 🙂
