While the Mercedes A Class is giving its rivals a run of their money in Europe, a test mule of the car has been spotted in China sporting beige interior.
With bookings in Europe exceeding 90,000 units, the A Class has become the three pointed starts most successful model in their pretty long history. The premium hatchback will slowly start entering the emerging markets from next year.
If the Chinese test mule is anything to go by, Mercedes has correctly felt the pulse of the emerging markets and is going to provide the interior with beige hue. Countries like India and China are huge fans of beige interiors and it is certainly gonna go a long way in enhancing the hatchback's appeal in this part of the world.
The Mercedes A Class which sits on the MFA platform will be the most affordable Merc in India when it is launched in 2013. Mercedes has a wide range of petrol and diesel engines to choose from, however the engines options for India is still unclear. The A Class will be available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The Mercedes A Class is expected to be launched in India by mid-2013 and will sit below the B Class as the entry level three pointed star.
