JLR makes up for the lion's share of Tata Motors' profit and China makes up for the lion's share of JLR's sales. Hence the Indian owned British brand is quick to launch the F-Type and Range Rover in China.

The previous generation Range Rover was popular among Chinese and the all new Range Rover is expected to evoke an even better response. The Jaguar F-Type sports car sits below the big brother the Jaguar XK.

The F-Type is powered either by a supercharged 3.0 litre V6 petrol motor that pumps out 380 bhp or a monstrous supercharged 5.0 litre V8 which belts out 500 horses.

The baby Jag will retail at a price range of 1.04 million Yuan (around Rs.92.92 Lakhs) to 1.57 million Yuan (around Rs. 1.37 Crore).

The all new Range Rover is touted to spearhead the JLR's onslaught in the Chinese market. The China spec car is available only with the 375 bhp version of the 5.0 litre petrol motor. The supercharged 500 bhp version of the engine is expected to be offered by late 2013.

The new Range is bigger on dimension but it's phenomenally lighter than the outgoing car, thanks to the all aluminium monocoque chassis and the numerous weight reductions made in the powertrain department.

The Range Rover is priced between 1.89 million Yuan (around 1.68 Crore) and 2.89 million (around 2.49 Crore). The new Range Rover will be launched in India this Friday (November 30).
