The Swedish company has come up with a special edition dubbed Volvo S80 Executive in Malaysia aimed at buyers wanting a premium car with a slightly exclusive and individual touch.
Mechanically nothing has changed. But this isn’t a special edition with gold badges and an ambitious marketing campaign.
Here are the list of changes -
1) Instrument panel top is covered in brown or black leather
2) Ventilated leather seats with massage option
3) Door panels fitted with leather
4) Analogue clock embedded into the instrument panel
5) Aluminium centre console
6) Extra thick carpets with different design
7) Provision to install refrigerator in the rear seat
Sensus infotainment system with five- or seven-inch display mounted up front

Now that the S60 and XC60 have shifted attention away from the S80, it will be a good decision for Volvo India to introduce special editions for both its older models (XC90 and S80). Luxury car manufacturers in India, in the name of special editions, sell vehicles fitted with accessories. The Volvo S80 Executive will shatter such perceptions.
Ssangyong’s Malaysian distributor Competitive Supreme will sell the Korando C as the Ssangyong Actyon, PaulTan.org has reported. The Actyon nameplate in Korea is worn by an older generation crossover model the Korando C replaces.
By the time Mahindra completed formalities in the Ssanyong takeover, development was almost complete on the Korando C. Mahindra will have a big role to play in the future in deciding on type of powertrains, facelifts and derivatives for the Korando which started out as the Ssangyong C200 concept styled by Giugiaro, the person behind the Fiat Punto.
The Actyon will be available as two models – the Actyon 2WD and Actyon AWD. The sole engine for Malaysia will be Ssangyong’s 2.0 liter e-XDi engine married to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The crossover, touted as the turnaround vehicle for the troubled Korean UV maker, goes on sale in Malaysia during May in six color options.
We expect Mahindra to introduce the Korando C in India during the Auto Expo next year.

Volvo is present in the Indian Market since 2007. Unfortunately, both the S80 and XC90 models have failed to make any serious inroads in the German dominated territory. This was not going to deter the Scandinavian giant and they decided to hurt the German trio where it would hurt them the most – Sports Sedans.
On March 11, 2011 Volvo brought its ‘Sportiest Ever’ sedan – the S60 in the Indian Market and immediately received 100 bookings in just a week.

Here’s a clear interior shot of the Mahindra Verito posted by JokeForBlog. The shots are taken in natural light and present changes in the cabin. The chrome diamond on the steering wheel is replaced by the Mahindra logo. The faux wood inserts and silver gear knob add luster to the dull and drab cabin. Besides the new upholstery features, there isn’t anything different about the Verito’ cabin.
Undoubtedly BMW India’ next volume driver – the 2012 BMW 3 Series has entered a new phase of testing process. BMWBlog has posted new images of the F30 (codename) that reveal new design details as more camouflage and fake parts have disappeared. The F30 is expected in India by the end of 2012 along with a price tag of under 25 lakh rupees for the Corporate Edition model.
As we suspected earlier, the new 3 Series will mimic the new 5er featuring full LED lights and tapered angel lights. The new 3 Series has grown marginally, but with the help of a light-weight construction, the car’s performance will remain at similar levels. The rear seat comfort will notably be better, and that for Indian ears is music.
BMWBlog says the new 3 Series will share components with the new X3 (local assembly of which began last month) and features like HUD, Rear view camera and parking assist will be part of the 3 Series offerings.
Information on diesel engines hasn’t been published, but excluding the base petrol model, all others will be paired to a new eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. We expect the F30 to be unveiled this year at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. If it fails to turn up there, expect the dust sheet to come off at the Geneva Show in March 2012.
