We’re used to funny and nifty commercials from Tata Motors and the recent one is by far the best. The comparison drawn to the Japanese Swift Dzire is cleverly done leaving no evident traces.

They’ve pulled off a humorous yet sensible comparison. The point is very clearly made.

Tata Indigo Manza Elan

Few Japanese engineers dressed in lab coats are flown to a faraway secret chamber where a sharp executive, standing next to a Manza Elan shoots some tough questions at his team members, who have no answers.

Will Maruti respond with a suitable Ad? We’re dying to see a fitting reply. Round one belongs to Tata Motors.

    The tatas and the idiotic dolts who dreamt up this ad were probably high or have a distorted vision of history. One need not take a look even outside india to know the kind of quality that the japanese products have be it a car or a camera. This ad rather than being distasteful just seems juvenile and pathetic. The japanese might be laughin their heads off ” ninetiyu p.esu, do we havu??” yeah right?

    @Shrawan Raja Well its not any one manufacturer in particular but more from the targeted region. Trying to establish that their quality is as good :) . But we really had fun crashing cars, doing 360s also cutting off the top of a car

    Ad looks fine . But does the quality really match with Dzire or Etios ? That really matters.

        I think many people who have commented above, don’t know about the Indian technology, They forgot that TATA is now manufacturer of Jaguar and Bajaj bikes are more popular in the western countries. India is growing and TATA has the good technology, Just do one thing… Take a test drive of Manza and then think again about your comment.
        Suzuki Swift desire is not good in high speed (150KM & above) because of its bad aerodynamic design.

    I guess the ad is mainly targeted at Toyota Etios…

      @Vinay – The Etios has a lot of space at the back. I would say the Etios’ cabin space is a lot more than the Manza’s. I got the feeling they were referring to the Dzire as it is the market leader. The Etios is newbie.
