Yes, it is just another Thursday and Maruti Suzuki has launched just another special edition model. This time it is the odd looking Zen Estilo. The special edition model is called the ‘Zen Estilo Edge’ and as you would imagine it has a lot of stickers.

Nothing much has changed in the car except for a few add-ons such as:

  • 2 Din Radio + CD Player + MP3 Audio with 2 speakers
  • Rear Parcel tray
  • Audio input with auxiliary and USB ports
  • Leather seat cover
  • Rear spoiler
  • Front fog lamps
  • Bluetooth Hands free

My favorite bit is when Maruti tries to compare the Zen Edge with i10 Era. Here is the sheet:

Zen Estilo Edge vs i10 Era

In the Exterior Styling section, all features such rear spoiler, body-colored doors and handles, wheel cover etc are ‘suppose’ to make this Zen Edge better looking than the i10. Oh come on Maruti whom are you kidding; the i10 is a far better looking car than an Estilo Period!

Second funny bit is the Engine section where Maruti says the Zen Estilo Edge has the ‘advanced K series engine’. Obviously, the Hyundai i10 will not have the K series engine because it has its own engine ;)

hi guys. I can’t say that MSI is doing a great job by attaching new labels; but Estilo is certainly a great car at its price. It gives greater mileage and maintenance is low. My friend who bought I-10 is now crying about maintenance. My Estilo is giving 16-17km where as i-10 is giving 9+. As it comes to style, the Estilo is also great. Where is the end for aesthetics?
Keep the price range in mind!

@blindindian…. I think it’s the other way around of what u r saying as u r blind opponent of maruti. Estilo is among the most value for money hatchbacks in India. I10 era costs atleast 30-40K more and DOES NOT HAVE REAR PW, PARCEL TRAY,MUSIC SYSTEM LET ALONE 2 DIN, FOGLAMPS, ETC ETC ETC. estilo edge equates to sports model which is 60-70k more. and just for your information all i10 have no metal support for front and every thing is made of plastic, I came to know when one of my friend just hit the kerb and broke his radiator mounting which was full plastic and costs 6K and even insurance DOES NOT GIVE more than 50% of plastic. SO be prepared to shell HUGE amount if ur i10 has a frontal bang.

I dont know what to comment on this.. I was a big fan of the original Zen. I really disappointed when MSI launched Zen Estilo and I m 100% sure other ‘real old’ Zen fans… I expected some design changes in their last make over. They gave a beefed engine and lil bit better looking front. However I was pretty happy that they removed the name Zen from Estilo. Now they are doing all these gimmicks to sell their bad looking car. Let us see what more Maruti will do on this car

You are bogging down the Estilo quite too much!

IMO, Estilo is better looking than boxy rear OLDER i10. (Latest i10 is ok!)

Additional features provided are welcome move! U get handy parcel tray, BT connection and spoiler. Decent upgrades. Better late than never.

Maruti is not boasting about sticker change here. Some useful upgrades are provided. So, it makes sense.

It required that Estilo strictly equates to i10. Both are from different OEMs. Afterall, Maruti is the market leader by a fair margin.

Pathetic design taste I must say.Go and look yourself in a mirror you fool!

Just because its a Maruti, doesnt mean it is always better than the other. Its people like you who blindly buy whatever, old crap Maruti sells to you and thats why India still has crappy cars with less features for more price!

Please find me one car out of Maruti stable which can match all the features offered by the new i10
