Maruti’s Kizashi sedan might have exceeded the sales targets, but Maruti’s not the one taking a back seat. Promotional plans have been drawn up and an advertisement campaign will be aired during the ongoing World Cup.
Maruti has spent 8 crore rupees on the Ad campaign. Dentsu is the Ad agency. Maruti is presently airing “Value for money” ad along with SX4 Diesel ads at the end of every over.
MSI Chief General Manager (Marketing) Shashank Srivastava told PTI -
The TV ad for Kizashi will be on air on March 8 during the world cup cricket match telecast. It will be a completely product-focussed one and it doesn’t have a storyline
350 units of the Kizashi have been booked since the launch. No one expected a 19-20 lakh rupee Maruti to do this well. However the initial euphoria is present post every launch. We have to wait and see how sales evolve over the next 12 months.

That seems good in numbers for that price. It’s sustainability at this price is of little doubt in long run. I think Maruti could have been good to shared that huge spending by reducing the price which could have been good for the product as well as possibility of assembling it in India.
