Tata_Sumo_GrandeTata Sumo Grande Mk2 comes with refreshed interiors and new clutch plate material

Tata Motors will launch the upgraded Sumo Grande on the 14th of this month. Renamed Mk2, the Sumo Grande gets vital upgrades to achieve better sales. Few years ago, Tata Motors carried out a similar procedure on the Indica hatchback (Indica V2) which worked wonders for the company.

Tata will not switch engines or gearboxes. Instead they have focused on getting the NVH levels right. The vehicle, according to reports online, is more refined. Interiors also feature minor changes – the steering wheel for example is taken from the Indica Vista, and the seats are more upmarket.

Changes on the new Sumo Grande Mk2

new clutch plate material
dual caliper front disc brakes
wheels from Tata Safari

indicators incorporated on mirrors
rub rails

beige dashboard
floating horn
new steering wheel borrowed from Indica Vista

I dont expect this to be any different from the one that exists. This will bomb like the previous version as Tata’s lack knowledge of auto making which is good enough for human beings. I own the grande mk-i and its been full of problems and defects. I am so frustrated that I have dumped the vehicle at their service center and filed a case in consumer court.
