The chaps over at Bajajpulsar.org have somehow managed to get some decent close-up snaps of the new Pulsar 135cc which enters showrooms in the coming weeks.
We all know that the Pulsar series from Bajaj ranges from 150cc to 220cc and we have seen so many variants of these bikes within this engine capacity. Bajaj, which has been very active this year, and wants to wrap up 2009 with something memorable.
So here we go — Bajaj is launching a 135cc motorcycle in its Pulsar Series this December. The Pulsar series is full of powerful bikes starting from 150cc but this time Bajaj is introducing a 135cc pulsar which would be a blend of power, efficiency and style.
Bajaj Pulsar 135cc dilemma
Bajaj’s 135cc segment already has XCD 135 DTS-Si and Discover 135 DTS-i, so one wonders if the Pulsar 135cc is necessary. The Pulsar brand of motorcycles is embedded in our hearts as budget performance bikes, but a 135cc motor is taking it too far. More so when you consider the XCD and Discover variants, which can always be used for this segment.
Bajaj started the Discover with a 125cc engine and few years down the line, we see it carrying a 100cc engine. With the Pulsar coming down to the 135cc level, what happens to the XCD brand? Will it kill of the XCD135?
There’s a lot of confusion in Bajaj’s product positioning. We feel it is unnecessary to fiddle with the Pulsar range since its customers are not looking beyond a level in the fuel efficiency front. If it is style and features that they are looking at, why can’t the XCD be worked on and finished to the desired level? With the entry of the 135cc Pulsar, Bajaj’s product line is going to look terribly muddled and highly disorganized. True, there are going to be more options, but Bajaj’s extra options come at the cost of lesser clarity.
Bajaj is one company which always keeps me guessing when it comes to product strategy. They have produced some of India’s best motorcycles but they should also understand that experimenting with a brand that’s regarded as India’s front-running performance motorycles, is going to leave them with serious wounds if the going is not good.
This bike will directly compete with bike likes of Honda CBF Stunner luring customers for both its style and performance. Some of the features the bike would be equipped with are as follows:

I am riding this bike since last 2 week appx.350 km.
I got Milage in the city 45.I hope after first service it will give milage in the city b/w 50 to 55 .
Some major factor
1. Back seat is too high not comfortable.
2. Sound is good.
3. Milage also good.
4. Pickup is good.
5. Head light not match with the bike.

Hi, new bajaj pulsar 135 is really a wonder full bike. I advice that bajaj should change rear tyre cover of this bike and bajaj should made a new discover upto 120cc with this 4valve technique

I hv read from many reviews …. that one may get back pain while riding this bike. So its a request to all pulsar 135 owners, can u please clarify for the same. Actually i usually have a back pain and looking a bike with full comfort so its a matter of worry for me. Plz

I have been ride puls135 above 1300kms
Its mileage is too high About 60+ kmpl
For sports bike power is major factor
But its 4valv engine gives us Power with Mileage
Its performance is really too good

they have build plusar brand name which showing the power
style, comfort .
Now they are destroying this brand name by putting it lower CC segements

i have remove external rear mudgaurd now it looks 2 sexy
i m crazy biker i have one another bike puls150
and also i have 1.5 lac km bike riding experience with max speed 115 kmph, i like bike stunts.
according me Puls135LS will be best suitable for stunts.

I saw the Bajaj Pulsar 135 today morning. She looks STUNNING. I just loved everything about this bike. It is ideal for someone with a budget of 50K. The sallest brother of the Pulsar family. I will give more variety to the buyers of 135 cc bikes. Stunning looks, terrific fuel effiency, at an affordable price. This is just the ideal bike for me. I always wished for a Puslar which would cost around 50K and give fuel efficiency around 70 kmpl. My wish came true. THANK YOU VERY MUCH BAJAJ.

hey is it bike or bell gada.looks like chor bazzari bike.it is made of combination of all bikes and bell gada so that it can carry people and animals .

new bajaj pulsar 135cc is good but many thing like handle is not matched for this bike u know this handle is used only 220cc and 180cc matched perfect
4 bike main thing is performance and it’s 4 valve engine gives a great performance it’s power & smoothness is great.
it’s tel’s hight is too good . . .
he pulsar is pulsar yaar, ie. 200 & 220, make it high it should be 300, 350 and name will be pulsarX
the design is not appropriate for pulsar.135cc bike decrease the value of pulsar.plz don’t do this.
how much will cost for new pulsar 135cc
much hype abt this 135cc machine.i had a test drive last weekend.i expected alot from this baby and felt glad as it was as per my expectations also but lacked few qualities on the way to excellence.
1.seat is not comfortable.sure back pain complaints after 2-3 years
2.all the parts r weak.it’s damaged even the tyre slip’s[exeption:->bajaj spares r inexpensive]
3.didnt like the headlight.looks awkward!!!! isn’t it..
yes except this all the features r taken care.i was waiting for the delivery of this baby for 9 months but wanna have patience and wait for next model wit better ingredients!!!
