Our reader Koushal Ghokle, who earlier tipped us on the E350′s whereabouts in Pune, now sends us proof of Tata testing the single cab Xenon on the very same roads. Spotted on the Pune bypass road, this car was doing speeds in excess of 100kph with its loading area filled with cans.
At present, Tata Motors sells the Xenon XT in India, which is the dual cab version. Tata had displayed the single cab version at the Delhi Expo last year.

Recently, Hyundai launched two more variants of the i20 – the 1.4 petrol Automatic and the much awaited 1.4 CRDI in India. Hyundai sent us the top-end i20 CRDi Asta and we’ll be talking about it for the rest of the week.

Examining the close-up spy shots of the next generation Suzuki Swift, you understand Suzuki isn’t making any sweeping changes. The easily identifiable silhouette stays untouched, while we still believe the dimensions have marginally gone up and the front fascia comes from the Kizashi. Quite a lot of speculations on the powertrain, a hybrid variant is also said to be in the pipeline.
Hyundai has announced that it is bringing a i10 Electric Vehicle to the Frankfurt Show next month. Specifications of the EV is unavailable but the car plays a major role in the company’s mission to be in the top four largest green car makers.
Hyundai is working on hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and it hopes within two to three years it will begin selling plug-in hybrid electric vehicles in the United States.
Hyundai is already working on a EV based on the i2o and a more fuel efficient engine for the i10 is waiting behind the curtain.
