Our reader Prakash from Bangalore has officially turned into our spy photographer. He first gave us a video of the upcoming Spark’s test mule, then a couple of pics of the Fortuner and now a cool video and set of images of the same vehicle in traffic, this time a lot clearer.

The Toyota Fortuner, which looks like a miniature Land Cruiser, will be launched on the 24th of this month. We’ll be there to bring you live feeds, images and video, so you don’t have to go anywhere else on that day.

Hyundai i20 CRDi cabin space - 58

As we mentioned in the earlier post, not many were pleased with the i10s Kappa engine on the i20. The new 1.4-liter petrol and this 1.4-liter CRDI injected a load of adrenaline into the i20.

No this isn’t the Verna’s or the Getz’ CRDI engine but an all new 1400cc oil burner, giving out 90PS power and the show stealing 220Nm of torque, that urged us to give it the “hot hatch” tag.

Nissan_Micra_India

Car affacciando Shakti has picked out a very eagerly anticipated car in India. Shakti, in Delhi area, captured an orange car that looked very unique. Without racking his brains to identify the car, he shot this image and later during examination, he realized the catch was pretty interesting.

Shakti’s caught a Nissan Micra, which will be manufactured in India next year, probably with three engine options. We’re not sure if this is the exact same car that will come out of India, but it certainly has some differences to the Euro spec model.

For starters there are no dual fog lamps on the grill. The bumper appears to have been toned down and the car’s ground clearance, after some close observation, appears to have been raised a little higher.

More spy shots and information will come our way in the next few months, and we’ll be there to bring it for you.

Has the little Ninja finally made it to India? I think so.

The Kawasaki Ninja 250R was snapped when on display at a Bajaj Probiking showroom in Pune. In the recent past, Bajaj had displayed the unreleased Pulsar variants in a similar manner, to collect feedback from its customers.

As we near closer to the launch of the Hyundai ix35 (replacement for the Tucson), the buzz is only getting louder. Instead of sticking ot the conventional black camouflage, the ix35′s fashion statement was flaunted with denim even before its official debut at the Frankfurt show next month!

The teaser does not give away an inch, but we’ve already seen the ix35′s side profile in a previous shot. The Tucson, believe it or not, is among the top 5 SUV brands in Europe.

Maruti Suzuki’s existing multi utility vehicle Versa, after a decade of faultering existence, will be phased out for its successor O2 to take charge.

The name of the product has not been disclosed, but a company official said the car will be launched around Diwali, at a price of a little over Rs 4 lakh. The new vehicle will use the Versa’s architecture, and that advantage will translate into a lower ex-showroom price.

The MUV market is dominated by experienced players, mostly with multiple products like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and Toyota.

To make inroads into the MPV/MUV segment and take on the Xylo or the Innova, Maruti has to offer a vehicle that looks and performs solidly. Both the competitors sell diesel variants and Maruti, as we know, is more of a petrol engine offerer.

The 1.3-liter Multijet engine which Maruti has license to, would not be suitable for application on a bigger vehicle. A higher capacity diesel is certainly the requirement and we will have to see if Maruti brings in the 1.6-liter Multijet engine for the o2.
