Sources in Nissan inform us that the revamped X-Trail and Teana are arriving in Indian shores on the second week of September. The company would have a beautiful launch ceremony to welcome the cars into our country.

The second generation X-Trail was displayed at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show, while the redesigned Teana was shown at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show.

Nissan hopes these cars would propel the company forward till they start selling the Micra/March next year.

As we enter to Day 4 with the Innova, we are getting to know the vehicle in a much better way. If we had driven it for a day, some of the things we’ve found out would not have come up.

The engine remains untouched, its just the same as the earlier Innova. The reason being its flawless, the same 2,493cc CRDI performs the same magic. We start the engine see a bit of vibration on the gear lever, this should be looked into by TKM and eliminated. The gear tries to engage itself into 1st!

Leave alone the Logan Coupe, the face-lifted Logan is finding it hard to make it to Indian shores.

Two door cars in India are sparse, the cheapest two door car is the Fiat 500 at around 15 lakh rupees (CBU) but that should not be a reason for Renault to sell the Logan Coupe in India!

Our friends at Diablomotor have posted more images of the 2011 Suzuki Swift along with the existing information. The Kizashi-faced new Suzuki Swift could have a hybrid variant along with a CVT option for the U.S market.

The drama surrounding the Chevrolet Agile has died down, but is bound to resume soon after it is out on the market. The new car will be the Aveo replacement in the U.S and is likely to travel to BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) countries in the coming years to take up the same assignment.

The Agile is based on the company’s Delta platform. The car was developed in Brazil and test mules have been spotted in the past. The Agile will not stay as just a hatchback. Sedan and MPV variants are expected in the coming years.

We essentially can’t figure out how Toyota’s engineers can’t leave a stone unturned. If tomorrow, Honda builds a tower in Japan with 50 floors, Toyota would build one beside it with 51 floors, just like how its new robot betters Honda Asimo’s walking speed by 1 km/hr!

Jokes apart, Toyota’s man-like machine does not have a name. Even before he was named, he could run faster than Asimo, and has got a superb sense of balance.

We hear Nissan’s robot pushes you to the ground instead of stabilizing and waiting for the next command.

A report on economic times says Tata will supply steel for Toyota and Nissan’s upcoming small cars. Nissan will produce its next generation Micra/March near Chennai, while Toyota will produce its small car with a petrol engine by the end of next year.
