@Shakti – very rightly said. Honda and Toyota, who came around the same time, have a better image than Mitsubishi. Nissan, who will enter the market next year looks in a strong position. It is Mitsubishi who is losing out in this battle.

@Anand Nayak – I don’t think Evo buyers would prefer this car over a C-Class or the 3-Series since it is in a different league – a league of performance cars. But yes, it being cheaper than any of the german brands is a good thing which will work for Mitsubishi.

Wow the Evo finally cmmg to Indian soil, this shud be the best and the fastest car and that too at a much lower price then the BMWs and the Mercs and Audis.

Great move by Mitsubishi..!

Even if they won’t be able to achieve the target of 100 units a year, the Launch of the Evo will do tons of good in Improving an Image of company in India, Which is almost lost in the race with Japenese Siblings…

@Satya – I hope they take care of it. I have a few friends who own a Lancer, and they are pleased with the service here. I also see many of them opting for a local service station which is not authorized to service these cars. But servicing the Evo needs experience and training. I hope Mitsubishi take ample care and train their mechanics and technicians.
