The Maruti Suzuki Ritz Petrol preferred over the diesel one, reports have revealed. According to the dealers only 30% of the Ritz sold till now are the diesel 1.3 ltr and the rest are 1.2 ltr petrol versions.
Generally in this particular segment the sales of the diesel variant is more than the petrol due to a host of reasons, but in the case of the Ritz, it is different.
If we look at the Suzuki Swift sales, the petrol and diesel models are evenly split and sometimes the diesel sales are more then that of the petrol.

The last two questions were easy pickings. After the answers started pouring in, I wondered what I was thinking when I put in those questions.
Yesterday’s answer – Fiat Palio Stile
Congratulations to all of them who got it right.
Today’s question isn’t very easy (I think)
Identify this car. Indians should recognize this, probably the only ones who would recognize it.

The cat is out of the bag. The 2010 Toyota Prado, among the cars we are tracking vigorously, has been caught undisguised. The revised headlamps, bumpers and tail lights suit the tall and muscular Prado which is more in line with cars like the Avensis in the Toyota range.
We are waiting for the engine and gearbox options. Toyota is tight lipped about the details. In India, the Prado come only with a petrol engine.
More to come very very soon.

The Hero Honda Karishma Karizma is getting neglected, almost ignored in today’s world of Pulsar’s, FZ’s and Apaches. The Karizma is still one of the best bikes you can buy in the budget-performance bike category, but thanks to its outdated looks, the Karizma is finding it a tad too difficult to handle the heat.
The new Hero Honda Karizma is here to change all that. It will get a restyled front fairing, new side and tail plastics, and a rear mudguard from the Hero Honda Hunk.
A German automag tried to improvise on Teknikensvarld’s (try pronouncing it) 2012 BMW 3 series renderings released a couple of months back and this is what they came up with – Der Neue BMW 3er.
Firstly its sharp. Then you might notice the large kidney grille like in the new 7 Series (Germans pronounce it 7 Serious, I don’t know why) and 5 Series renderings, you can blame Adrian van Hooydonk for that. The large grille is said to render the new Beemers some family resemblance.
The Hyundai i20 diesel has been manufactured and sold in Europe. The reason why Hyundai did not introduce it in India could have to do with the Grande Punto and Honda Jazz. A wait and watch strategy could have been adopted. If the Hyundai i20 is intelligently priced, it will definitely attract large number of customers.
Our friends at Motorbeam had the chance to check out the car earlier today. Here are some facts about the Hyundai i20 for the Indian market
Roughly 42 of you got yesterday’s answer right! Congratulations to all of you for typing out the correct answer – Skoda Fabia
Note – From now on, extra care will be taken to not publish all the answers until the next day’s question is out, as that would kill the excitement.
Today’s question is a little bit tricky, owners would identify it straight away.
What is this car?
Clue – Not very long ago was it given a facelift in India.

4X4OTY – Four wheel drive of the year
The Suzuki Vitara DDiS is not available in India, people expected it, but it wasn’t to be.
The Suzuki Vitara DDiS (Fiat’s Multijet engine) version earned itself the title of Australia’s best compact SUV at the 4X4OTY contest, judged by the reputed 4WD magazine editors in the country.
The competition was no where near easy, some of the tough and proven vehicles sold here in India too – Volkswagen Tiguan, Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan X-Trail, Jeep Wrangler, Subaru Forester and Honda CR-V.
Judges loved its steering, suspension, seating as they ruthlessly carefully put the cars through the off-road evaluation course.
