IAB Exclusive – Images from the Hyderabad International Auto Show 2009
Shrawan Raja, I'm the Founder & CEO of IndianAutosBlog.com. I love teamwork and talking about cars.
Regular reader of Indian Autos Blog Harsha, had visited the Hyderbad International Auto Show, an annual event organized by Vista entertainments in association with HICC, Hyderabad today morning. He brought back some images and here, he explains the appealing portions of the show.
By Sri Harsha, who has taken the time and effort to visit the show for us –
The show was held at the HICC (Hyderabad international convention centre). A total of twenty two bike and car manufacturers displayed their range and a total of over 100 cars and bikes were brought under one roof.
From electric bikes to Hayabusas, and Altos to Audis, the show thrilled auto enthusiasts here in Hyderabad.
Show stoppers –
The Suzuki Hayabusa with its muscular stance greeted me at the entrance. Standing alongside is a Porsche Cayman, placed there if you are more of a car fan. The show stoppers included the newly launched Toyota Land Cruiser, Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg and the Mercedes Benz SL63 AMG.
Yamaha showcased its racing kit for the Yamaha FZ 16 and R15. Along with them stood my favourite bike – the MT-01.
Hyundai made use of this occasion to launch the i20 diesel locally. It grabbed a lot of attention from the crowd who had come there to see the exotics, so job well done Hyundai!
Many finance schemes and special gifts were offered by car companies for those who booked a car at the event. Most of the cars displayed were sold in India as the concept of the show was to promote sales and increase product visibility.
Tomorrow is the last day of the show. You can get more information by visiting the official website of the event – http://vistaentertainments.com/aboutevent.html
