The Ferrari F450 will be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year, but not before all the hype, renderings and speculations contribute heavily to the build-up.
The Ferrari F450 rendered here, replaces the aging F430, is bigger in dimension and carries a larger 4.5-liter engine good for 580bhp.
The Ferrari California shares similarities but is pitched at the customer who desires a calmer and more laid back transport which must dance only when necessary. The F450 is the flat opposite. The suspension will be stiffer as can be inferred, it’s more of a performance Ferrari unlike the California.
The F450 will also bear a lighter body essentially due to the nature of its construction which uses light weight recyclable material, inspired by the Mile Chile concept of 2007.
A 7-speed dual clutch mechanism is shared between this car and the California. Insiders say this is the most beautiful Ferrari of them all.
The Greek gods should have been pleased that day. They came upon the judges, who were made to bestow the COTY award on the Jazz. The Jazz was chosen to be “the one” by gods Apollo and Zeus.
Or was it?
It might sound all fun and games, but the truth is the Honda Jazz is the COTY 2009 in Greece signifying it’s dynamism and popularity. It is undeniably the best choice in the Greek car market.
The jury comprised of Greece’s top automotive magazines, and wasn’t some online poll where half the votes are cast by Skoda and VW’s PR agencies.
Sound even creepier when you listen to who the Jazz beat to grab the title- the Skoda Superb !
The Greek auto journalists handed the title to the Jazz after it beat contender Skoda Superb comprehensively by 114 points in their rating system.
So, if you are given a choice between the Superb and the Jazz, you now know which one to buy.
The Honda Jazz is offered in Greece with a 1.2-liter iVTEC engine that gives out 90bhp and a 1.4-liter 100bhp engine.
Conclusion – The Greek auto magazines and the Honda Jazz are Damon and Pythias here onwards.
The Grande Punto for the Indian market is the presently running model and should not be confused with this car. The facelifted model might make it to India only after two years or so.
Our old friend is back! Yes, the refreshed Fiat Grande Punto for overseas markets was caught testing again, this time the grille and bumpers were only portions masked.
The refreshed Grande Punto is said to have no mechanical changes. The dashboard might be different, but this is just a mid-life facelift to give the sales a bit of nitrous.
It will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. Sales will begin there after.
Note - Indian Autos Blog follows this car closely. You can read all our articles on the facelifted Grande Punto if you want to know more
The Chevrolet Cruze scored a maximum 5 stars in the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) making it Australia’s safest car. Electronic stability control, traction control, ABS, brake assist, electronic brakeforce distribution, six airbags, seatbelt reminders and pretensioners with load limiters are standard on the Australian Cruze sold with the Holden badge.
The much awaited Tata Indigo Vista will be set afloat next month for a price tag displaying 5-lakh rupees or more. The car will be put together in the Ranjangaon plant where Fiat manufactures all its cars for India. The engine options include the 1.3-liter Multijet and 1.4-liter FIRE petrol engine.
The 1.3-liter Multijet engine isn’t fulfilling all the wishes of Linea buyers. Hence Fiat plans to introduce a more powerful 1.6-liter Multijet engine on the Linea later this year. This engine will output 106bhp power and 147Nm torque. Psst- The same engine goes into the Suzuki SX4 this year.
Forgive us for the lack of any posts yesterday on the Suzuki Splash/Ritz. We actually forgot about it completely. But here it is. A nice sound track and lovely picturization. Enjoy the international Suzuki Splash TV Commercial.
