The 2010 Hyundai Sonata YF which is to be launched next month, was caught testing yet again. Even though the body shape looks very coupe-ish (like say a Mercedes CLS), thanks to the ultra heavy camouflage, people are left clueless about the car’s overall design. Even the Front bumper we saw earlier, aint of much help!

Nevertheless, some say the 2010 Hyundai Sonata YF’s headlights are from the Hyundai i30, grille from the Hyundai Equus, bonnet from the ixonic concept and looks like a stretched 6-Series beemer, while others say the dashboard has very obvious elements from Chevrolet’s Beat, all Volvos, Honda‘s dials, garnished with Hyundai vertical Aircon vents.

Hyundai has been bringing out some very impressive new car designs of late, which means, a good looking Sonata YF is fairly obvious. But, will it become the ‘Honda Accord slayer’? We can’t wait to find out.

What is the VW Up!?

The VW Up! is a concept which was shown to crowds at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in 2007. Similar to the Tata Nano, the VW Up! has its engine driving the rear axle and is placed under the rear seat.

Why did it spark our interest?

Simple. VW announced it will build the Up! in India back in 2007. A target price of around $7,500 was announced and it would compete with the smaller hatchbacks, such as the Hyundai Santro, Maruti Alto and the Chevrolet Spark in India. It was also rumored back then that VW would team up with Bajaj to see the concept through to an Indian production line.

What’s the latest information on the VW Up!?

An official announcement has arrived from VW that it will use Bratislava as a production centre for its Up! family of city cars from 2011 onwards. Bratislava is in the country of Slovak, the former borders Austria and Hungary.

The Fiat Linea was, or should I say is Fiat’s trump card, life jacket and oxygen mask in India. Preceding to the launch, their pulse rate was slipping in spite of such successful products like the Palio and the Siena, they were doing wretchedly in India.

Fiat’s Indian operation was counting on the Linea for its survival. And that was an excellent idea.

Fiat’s declared 4,600 Lineas were sold in the country since the launch on the third week of January. The sedan, which is offered in petrol and diesel formats, is carrying Fiat back in terms with the competition.

Fiat will use the Ranjangaon plant built with backing from Tata Motors as an export hub. Right-hand drive markets Australia and New Zealand will be the first to host Indian Lineas on its roads.

Fiat plans to introduce the Grande Punto in India in the coming months. Apart from that, a small car and a facelifted Palio will additionally occupy Tata showrooms before the end of next year.

Bling and Elegance seldom mix, at least now they do, we reckon. The MEC Mercedes Benz S-Class as quoted by Motorward “can separate the bank robbers from bankers.” How true!

MEC Design is a German based tuning company, which has been in the tuning business for over a decade. With the new S-Class bodykit, the company introduces a 2face system which gives the customer full customization liberty over the bodykit.

The most important design aspect however is that this car sits lower on 20inch rims, giving it the Bling appeal.

Leak- 2012 Renault Clio

You can never be sure of the world these days. You send something to someone for assessment or courtesy and the next minute they advertise it and take your trust for a ride.

The 2012 Renault Clio clay model photographs have crawled their way to the Internet. The car looks a lot curvy and fleshy compared to the existing one. The side profile calls to mind the Suzuki Swift, while the line that commences at the front wheel arch, twists and ends abruptly kind of reminds me of the Tata Nano. Maybe the Nano’s line is a bit more civilized and knows where to go :D
