The year long wait is finally over. Tata Nano has been officially launched at The Taj Mahal Palace today at 4:30PM IST.

* Three Tata Nano variants launched

* Sale of booking forms from start of April 2009

* Cost of application form – Rs.300

* Booking forms available at centers across 1000 cities

* First 1 Lakh customers will be selected on the basis of Lot

* Delivery to start from July 2009

* State Bank of India to offer loans and to be the exclusive partner for bookings and financial management

* To be offered for a down payment of Rs.2999

* Online booking through Internet Banking

Tata Nano Launch Update #2

Castrol will provide Tata Nano its engine oil. After two years of intense Research and Development, Tata Motors and Castrol have jointly developed a specialised low cost, fuel efficient lubricant exclusively for the Tata Nano. This lubricant is expected to reduce emissions, improve mileage and ensure higher engine longevity of the world’s cheapest car.
