The Geneva Auto Show is going on in full swing with carmakers and tuners rushing to showcase their automobiles. Now, how can the German carmaker Porsche be left behind? Especially when one of its cars is tuned by someone famous for tuning hypercars like the Bugatti Veyron.

Just when we were expecting a better and improved Veyron that could take the fight to beat SSC Aero TT’s top speed record (the Bugatti held it earlier), Bugatti has launched an updated version with better interiors and the trademark Blue colour named the Bleu Centenaire. The paint scheme is a mixture of Matte Blue and Gloss Blue.
Mercedes Benz is targeting a slightly younger audience with its new 2LOOK Edition SLK series. It is available only in white/black with matching interiors. This special edition costs approx 2,100 Euros over the normal SLK and we feel that this is well worth the extra bucks for the equipment and trim changes.
Tired of updating on the cars debuting at Geneva, we’re taking a break by doing an exclusive. Gurudatta Nayak, an avid reader of Indian Autos Blog, sent us a set of images of a camouflaged Fiat Grande Punto which he snapped in Panjim.
We carried a post earlier last week describing the Rinspeed E2. Today, the car was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show and the press release was issued. The Rinspeed E2 is based on the Fiat 500 Abarth, and has two modes of operation- either 60hp or 160hp, and thus the name “E2.”
To mark fifty years of the iconic Barbie doll, a Fiat 500 painted in Barbie pink, with so many Barbie bits on the interior and exterior is exhibited at the Geneva Motor Show. The song “I’m a Barbie Girl” should in all likelihood should be blasting through the car’s speakers, right now!
Surprise surprise! We are very impressed with the European version of the Nano dubbed the Tata Nano Europa, and we already knew this car was going to be on display; the electric version of the Indica Vista was also expected, as it will take part in an electric demonstration program in Norway, but the Tata Prima luxury sedan, which will meet a production line in the future, is the rabbit in Tata’s hat at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Tata Motors Chairman Ratan Tata has announced that the booking dates for the world’s cheapest car, is preponed by a period of three weeks.
Talking to the media at the 79th Geneva Motor Show, he said that the company will commence bookings on March 23 and deliveries will start from the first week of April. However the procedure on how to book a car was not discussed, and still remains unclear.
Reports stating the car will only be available to VIPs and celebrities initially was rubbished by the company.
As more information arrives, we’ll inform you. So stay tuned to Indian Autos Blog as the Geneva Motor Show updates continue.
