Nissan Shifts to Mexico; Indian plant on track

Left with a yen that is climbing in value all the time, and losses after a flourish of nine long years, Nissan is in a shaken state. The company expects a $3 Billion loss and the counter measures are immediate- the production of its Versa/Tiida has been shifted from Japan to Mexico.

“The Phantom Coupe is the most driver-oriented model in the current line-up. It completes the Phantom family, adding to Phantom, Phantom Extended Wheelbase and Phantom Drophead Coupe,” Rolls-Royce Motors Cars’ general manager, South and East Asia Pacific, Matthew Bennett, told reporters in Mumbai.

Have we gone International?

Yes, in terms of news coverage Indian Autos Blog has gone International. The main reason for that is lack of local news and we’re terribly frustrated. Over the past few days, hardly any events pertaining to the Indian Auto industry has caught our attention, and if we continued covering local news, IAB would look malnourished.

Dear reader, please understand that this does not mean the end of local news on the blog. We have not left out the important events in India, the international news supplements the local coverage.

Looks wise, we’ve cropped the size of the thumbnails to display more posts on the front page. We have also taken out a few other elements to make the blog load quicker, so that your internet connection does not feel the heat of the additional images. We’re also updating more often, as you might have noticed.

Audi A4 325bhp oil burner tuned by B&B

Oil burners seldom make fast cars but Audi thinks otherwise. the firm had the Le-Mans winning R10 TDI and the upcoming R15 TDI and the 500bhp Q7 V12 TDI. So, tuners would be better off beginning with one of these performance diesels and that’s what B & B have exactly done.

B&B has taken the 3.0l Audi A4 TDI and put it on steroids.

The range topping 240 bhp diesel has been tweaked to give out a whopping 325 bhp! There are two stages and Stage-1 boosts power to 285 bhp and 585 Nm of torque while Stage-2 gives 325 bhp and 600 Nm of torque !
