Don’t know whether you have noticed or not, but we have not been posting since the morning. That’s because we have been busy creating a forum and a Facebook group, and after much difficulty, we have succeeded in making them both.
We want the support of you, our readers, to gain strength so that we can help a lot of other Auto enthusiasts.

The success of its two hatchbacks – the Aveo U-VA and the Spark and new releases from other automakers – has spurred GM India to think of bringing the Chevrolet Mini sooner than ever!
GM is now working out all odds to bring in the ‘Mini’ and heat up the premium hatchback space. The Chevrolet Mini which is based on the Beat concept (showcased two years back in New York Auto Show) will come with frugal Petrol and Diesel engine options; expected to be positioned above the Chevrolet U-VA and priced around that range.
The Chevy Mini as it appears (in pictures), would be a large hatchback- possibly the largest hatchback India has seen (we’ll leave out the SRV for now)! But this is just a speculation (a visual perception), as no dimensions have been revealed yet.

Tata
Tata Motors has introduced its 24X7 roadside assistance scheme for its cars and utility vehicles. The car maker will no doubt have a hard time if all the taxi operators contact this assistance
The 24X7 Roadside assistance will offer ‘hassle free service’ to Tata customers in the event of breakdown at any time, whether its day or night, as the name already suggests.
Volkswagen has just three models to display in its Indian showrooms and among them is the Touareg. Indians just get a 6 cylinder 3.0-liter 225bhp oil burner with the options provided in countries abroad not available to us.
VW will offer the next generation of the Touareg with a gasoline hybrid version. First prototypes are already undergoing testing at various locales.

Skoda
The Octavia (Octavia and later Laura to us) is arguably Skoda’s best selling car in the world and even in India although the Fabia has taken over that position now. The popular car which Skoda sells in India, both the generations simultaneously is celebrating its 50th birthday this year. Over 2 million Skoda Octavias that you see in India, have been sold around the world.
Vath is a German tuner and they have left the Mercedes Benz C200 Kompressor with major changes. The car’s ECU has been modified resulting in improved hp. The stock C200 K produces 184 hp, while the Vath C 200 K gives 215 hp. Another notable engine related change is the exhaust system, which is constructed using stainless steel.
We’ll be thrilled to see what Chevrolet has to say when they see this one (we’ve sent this article as an email to them) This is what happens when you have a small car with big aspirations but a faulty instruction manual.
OK, so Chevrolet replaced the 800 cc engine on the Matiz with a 1,000cc motor and renamed it the Spark. The power intensified by a few horsepower and everyone was happy. Not everyone, apparently.
