London will get Aston Martin designed buses

London Mayor Boris Johnson and Transport for London (TfL) had announced last year to bring two new designs for a modern-day Routemaster double-decker bus for the English capital. After evaluating more than 700 design submissions, two designs-one from Aston Martin and another from Capoco Design, were shortlisted.

Maruti Swift sets record sales figures

Maruti Swift this month, crossed the 300,000 unit mark in cumulative domestic sales, within just three years and nine months of its launch. It is now the fastest selling model in its segment.

Two new five-cylinder Volvo diesel engines on the S80 this year

Two new five-cylinder 2.4-liter diesel engines, with twin turbos and single turbo, from Volvo will be available on the Volvo S80 sedan this year, as reported earlier. The diesel engines will also have roles to play on the company’s other cars like the XC60 and XC70 SUVs.

Skoda Fabia Scout leaked ahead of Geneva debut

After having launched new versions of Octavia and Superb sedans last year, Skoda Auto has now announced that its lineup is heading for massive expansion with the new Yeti compact SUV as well as the Fabia Scout. Both the models are scheduled to be launched at Geneva Motor Show next month.

2010 Fiat Grande Punto Spyshots

As reported earlier, Fiat is planning to update the car with a facelift that is expected to be sold later this year as a 2010 model. It does appear to share design cues with Fiat Bravo.

Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupe to Debut at Geneva Motor Show

The 2010 Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupe is a much anticipated replacement to the aging CLK Coupe, which has been falling against newbies like the Audi A5 and E92 BMW 3-series Coupe.

A Special edition Mitsubishi Outlander dubbed RX, loaded with goodies and safety features has been launched in Australia. Only 300 units of the Mitsubishi Outlander RX will ever be produced, making this feature rich car an attractive proposition.

Hyundai Equus, the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes Benz S Class competitor, was shown to a group of 80 journalists at Namyang research and development center in South Korea. The company also allowed the journalists to test drive the car, and surprisingly, a Mercedes S Class and Lexus LS sedan were also provided for a comparitive study.
