Now i don't believe that the size of the tyre is much of a matter as far as performance is talked about and on the brighter side it helps to attain beeter speeds, now i do agree that bigger tyres do look better, also since the tyres that come on the R15 are soft compound tyres the stock tyres are best matched for its performance and it will beat its sibling the FZ on cornerings inspite of having thinner tyres. Also the YES-YAMAHA song could have been beter so that us hardcore believers and followers of yamaha could have used it for ringtones proudly, but i am happy of the fact that now we can get our hands on YAMAHA merchandise finally. Also its nice to know that track days dedicated to YAMAHA are happening at COIMBATORE-KARI-SPEEDWAY.

YAMAHA should also come out with snazy scooters like its AEROX variants to india and also its dirt bikes like the XT's, What has been done on the R15 is evident that the tyre size has been reduced so that the performance is not affected and the FZ was an answer to why YAMAHA came out with small tyres and so the loss of power can be felt.

But i feel that the request for a bike with a bigger engine + more power + bigger tyres and more MILEAGE is not logical.
Lets see maybe they will come up something.

Yamahs was selling 2000 motorcycles a month now 2300 motorcycles a month and the percentage wise it is 18% increase,so if you closely see that 18% increase is just 300 vehicle all over India sales. So this is how they fool Indian people. Most of the small time mechanics who have become Yamaha dealers in India may not retain their showrooms for long because with imminent launch of Bjajaj-KTM liquid cooled engines on Pulsars and XCd's due in Dec2009 for 2010 show Yamaha may end up with belt driven plastic scooters like Dio and Suzuki acess or may be with nylon string guitars and electronic keyboards for India and for rest of the the world

i think yamaha must reintroduce the rajdoot 350 model again in india...
i think wen it was released in india way back in1983 we indian were not habitual of performance biking

but now we r experiencing all sort of bikes...

it is a fact that rajdoot 350 is still the fastest two wheeler to came in india..

lets hope to see them again

it is better to choose the bikes which hav better performance n better milege where every one looks for it...if it is possible in my opinion it is better to think about RX135,RX100 models which created a new revoluton in the indian market, you can alter it n release it.....

Yamaha should stop launching thin tyre vehicles and present some powerbikes with sporty but muscular looks, fat tyres, fuel efficient four-stroke engined bikes. The latest ones are all of a new breed of sport bikes. We need some new look sport bikes ie new designed not designed with a dual headlamp stuff.
