Volvo XC90, XC70 and C30 soft toys

Volvo Car Corporation has ‘re-introduced’ their range of cars that have no carbon emissions, in fact, they consume no fuel! Before you get too excited, let’s explain that these are just soft plastic toys. Toy versions of Volvo XC90, XC70 and C30 models will be produced in soft, safe and durable plastic in yellow, red, green and blue.

The toys are produced by Viking Toys, under the watchful eyes of Volvo- who provide the specs. The prime concept is to make soft, safe, high-quality cars for children starting from the age of 1 year. The products are very safe, so children cannot pull off parts and put them in his/her mouth. All materials are guaranteed to be free of harmful chemicals.

Toy cars from Viking Toys are sold in 50 countries and have been on the market for 35 years. The company produces between 3.5-4 million cars a year (way much more than Volvo’s annual capacity!). Viking-produced Volvo vehicles will hit your nearest store by December 2008.

IAB Comment: We are not sure what Volvo had in mind. We suppose, this is Volvo’s attempt to educate the next-gen adults about their cars, so that the same infants grow to become Volvo customers!
