2012 BMW V3- Crossover based on the BMW 3-Series

BMW’s been creating new segments and new cars! Look at the BMW X6, the Progressive Activity Sedan and this, the BMW V3. Pointless? Not quite. These cars are niche products, and we think that they are the future.

The Suzuki Alto Lapin, has been revealed in the Japanese market. The outgoing Alto Lapin was sought-after by female drivers aging around thirty five and the new Alto Lapin, is looking forward to impress teen buyers as well.

Volvo S80 2.5FT debuts in Thailand

The Volvo S80, Volvo’s flagship sedan is now available in Thailand with an E85 compatible engine. The Volvo S80 2.5FT is the first mass produced car in Thailand with an E85(Ethanol- 85%, Gasoline 15%) compliant engine. This comes after the Thailand Government decided to commercialize E85 fuel. ie- you can buy E85 from the local fuel station.

Audi R8 GT3 Racer unveiled at Essen Motor Show

The Audi R8 GT3 from Audi’s motorsport division was announced for use in next year’s GT3 series, at the Essen Motor Show in Germany.

-Please recall that the 500bhp R8 V12 TDI is still due Audi! Audi wants to get back to racing in the fast lane! F1 still remaining Audi!-

Fiat 1.4-liter petrol engine will power the 2009 Tata Indigo

Fiat has already begun production of the 1.4-liter petrol engine earlier this month at Ranjangoan, which will also power the upcoming Tata Indigo besides the Fiat Linea and Grande Punto.

The engine blocks for this petrol motor will be imported from Fiat’s plant situated in Brazil and the entire manufacturing including machining will be done at the new powertrain plant in Ranjangaon. Initial capacity is 70,000 powertrains per annum eventually going up to 300,000.

Refreshed: 2009 Skoda Octavia

Skoda has given the 8-year old C-segment Skoda Octavia liftback (aeroback) and estate a much needed facelift, for release in 2009. The Octavia had never been taken care of by Skoda in the recent past, so this facelift can help Octavia to atleast stand up against stronger rivals like Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Altis.

Italian car maker Fiat is planning to launch a new low cost brand in Europe and bring to the market, three models under a new low-cost brand tag.

Pricing would be lower than current Fiat models, which have moved marginally upscale. An example: Fiat 500 was once (in the 60′s) the brand’s cheap city car, but the latest generation is more of a lifestyle vehicle. Fiat would make something similar to the 500, but would cost a lot lesser.
